About me

Why Dutchy? Could also have been “Flying Dutchman” because I flew quite a lot for not being a business-man and as I flew quite a lot with the KLM (the Royal Dutch Airlines) I had the Flying Dutchman membership-card until the name disappeared unfortunately due to the take-over by Air France, for me a regrettable step. So, Dutchy is short and to the point although I do not feel Dutch anymore since I lived more than 15 years at the Costabrava (north-Spain) where I slaved more or less voluntarily for the clients who named me their “friend”, but after a predictable unpredictable event which ended with a lot of injustice I got the chance to travel around for quite a long time in SE-Asia, offered by somebody I like very much, going back to premature roots which grew already during my army-volunteers time in previous Dutch New Guinea, 15 years later followed by a trip of a bit more than one month to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. These trips added the Philippines to my list.

Now I landed in a country I have never been: Thailand and which gave me a surprisingly good feeling of a nice and peaceful Buddhist culture, a culture I did not found in any country I previous visited. This resulted in a stay of already more than two years now, admitting that I feel home like I did before in Spain.
